This is a very calm amazon. He enjoys the company of women and is very affectionate with men. His exposure to children & other animals is quite limited, however he has been around cockatiels. He is not aggressive but is territorial of his cage. He enjoys his toys and would prefer that new things be introduced slowly. This bird WILL be a great companion to someone willing to spend time with him & make him a part of the family.

   Yellow  Shouldered Amazon.     Sex: male (DNA)        Age: 14+ yrs
June update: Carlos spends all day in the company of his new human companion. He enjoys television, a great view and healthy meals with his new best friend! This is truly a match made in heaven.
Aug.   Carlos is thriving in  his new home. Meals are a shared event with Carlos insisting on tasting everything.

Sun Conure.  Sex: M  Age: 2-3 yrs?            This bird can be extremely sweet. He prefers females & as all conures tend to be, is quite loud when he is calling for attention and yes ... he demands attention. He is in beautiful feather, is a great eater & must be made part of the family.
This is a fun interactive companion that will make a fabulous companion to someone with conure experience & that can set
boundaries & provide a consistent environment.     Still looking for my forever home

I was a little rough around the edges but in my new home I get plenty of attention, great food and showers. There are other cockatoos to talk with, Linda & Linda to love me and dogs...did I mention dogs... well at least they know their place.
One more thing- can you say SPOILED, That's  me!

I'm treated special too. My family is very patient & understands me. At first  I was a bit ornery but not any more. I give great kisses & will talk you under the table. Goes to show what a little love & kindness can do. I am SO HAPPY now.

  Cheerio is now home forever. Not only did she find a wonderful home, this home is quite special. This small assisted living home has 5 beautiful residents. She provides for them & they provide her with  un-conditional & unlimited love as well as constant companionship.  This is a win/win placement that makes my heart smile.
