Turtle Trek @ Crows Lake:  Aug.14
Llamas, parrots, a tortoise - oh my! It was hard to tell who was having the better time. Everyone who came by experienced  a rare face to face encounter with a Swainsons Toucan. We also had an Eclectus, a Severe macaw & our Miligold macaw Sunshine and of course Thor our sulcata tortoise. Our next event is 2 days! Each day will showcase a different group of parrots. See you at Art in the Park.

City Lights in Commerce.:  June 26
With plenty of water & frequent misting, the birds didn't mind showing off for the crowds. Jesse our Macaw was a big hit as well as a very vocal mini-macaw named Pogo.  The caiques were complete clowns and the Galah's were enjoyed for there  subtle beauty.  As always we met some nice people & new friends.

Humane Society of N.E. GA.:  June 16
This summer program put on by HSNE offered us the opportunity to take Cyrano (AKA T-bird our Toucan) to his first presentation. It was a joy to interact with this group. Because they were so respectful & considerate of our birds  everyone spent some hands on time with Carly.  The birds received wonderful attention. The parrots also brought back a huge stash of phone books, nuts, treats, quality pellets and much needed paper towels. All donated by this great group. We thank you.

Parrots & Boy Scouts
June 10
Just look at these wonderful young men. These scouts were very respectful of our parrots & had dozens & dozens of GREAT questions. Where do they live? What do they eat? What does it mean that they see ultra violet light? Where are their "noses"(nares). We were pleased to be able to answer these questions and to spend an evening talking about parrots with these great kids.
